Volunteering at Lam Rim
Everybody benefits from a peaceful place to retreat to, away from the stresses and strains of daily living. For over 30 years Lam Rim Buddhist Centre in Wales has provided its visitors with a beautiful and tranquil environment in which to relax and meditate. To enable it to continue to offer this unique retreat opportunity Lam Rim is now looking for volunteers to assist with the day-to-day running of the Centre.
Volunteer community members at Lam Rim Buddhist Centre in Wales participate in daily spiritual and devotional practices and assist with the administration, cooking, cleaning and gardening responsibilities. If you have an interest in the Buddhist faith, or you are a practising Buddhist or aspiring to the Buddhist path you are invited to apply to join as a volunteer. As a resident or non-resident volunteer at the Centre you will also need to have your own transport as Lam Rim is situated in a rural location.
To benefit fully from volunteering at the Centre, residential volunteers receive personal spiritual instruction from Venerable Geshe Damcho Yonten, the Spiritual Director of the Centre. Volunteers also receive an appropriate induction and ongoing supervision in order to develop their skills and knowledge in the volunteering role.
This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice whilst being of service to the Centre and the wider community.
